Join us for a day of volunteering at El Monte Elementary School Garden!

About the Project: The El Monte Garden is a beloved centerpiece of the school campus! You'll find it right at the entrance of the school, welcoming all visitors to the site. The garden hosts Growing Healthy Kids Garden Class, serving all grade levels over the course of the year. In it, students study nature, plants, and get to engage with learning in a hands-on way. The garden is a cared for Growing Healthy Kids Program Manager Marian Woodard, community members, and students.

Projects Include: At this work day, volunteers will:

• Repair garden beds by replacing rotting lumber with fresh new wood!

• Transplant fall vegetables

• Build an herb spiral
