Join us for a Garden Work Day at Mt. Diablo Elementary with GHK Garden Educator Cactus Kellie!

About the Garden: The beloved MDE Garden was established seven years ago. Over the years, it has attracted the support of the whole MDE community, and even has it's own Facebook Page which you should absolutely check out (MDE School Garden)! The garden is full of colorful projects and plant life of all kinds. Growing Healthy Kids Garden Class, taught by Garden Educator Cactus Kellie, serves all grade levels and meets in the garden throughout the year. The garden is a cared for Growing Healthy Kids staff, community members, and students. 

Help needed: At this work day, volunteers will:

• Help with Garden Cleanup
• Assist with seasonal garden care tasks
• Mulch

You should Bring: Tools will be provided on site. For your comfort, please bring a water bottle, hat, and/or sunscreen.

Student Service Hours: Service Hours are availible for MDUSD students seeking credit.
