At Growing Healthy Kids, we seek to deepen the connection between MDUSD students and the local farmers who work to feed their communities. We believe that outdoor education introduces students to the importance of agriculture, and we offer a range of programs that support students and families as they integrate those lessons into their lives and onto their plates.

At Youth Farm Stands, 4th and 5th grade students work with Growing Healthy Kids Staff to distribute produce grown at the Pacifica Garden Farm, and supplied by our local farm partners Family Harvest Farm, Healthy Hearts Institute, and Rodgers Ranch. Youth Farm Stands take place at sites throughout MDUSD. These programs build leadership and communication skills in 4th and 5th grade students while getting fresh, whole foods directly to families and students.
