Jana Lang

Born out of the terrains of West Oakland and Stockton, Jana Lang is a multidisciplinary artist, lover of landscapes, and educator. Believing that teaching can occur in any environment, Jana has facilitated learning for people of all ages from preschoolers to adults. Pulling from her prior experiences as a library aide with the Oakland Public Library and substitute preschool teacher, she is passionate about being a loving, reliable, and disciplined adult for the younger generations. She specifically sees teaching about nourishment and gardening as critical to building a world with more intention and respect for all of the beings that exist here on Earth.  

Jana is excited to bring her colorful adaptability and knowledge of working with under resourced communities to Growing Healthy Kids. She has her BA in Human Biology and Society from UCLA. In her free time, Jana enjoys painting and collaging, singing, and taking trips to the river and forest.
